What issue do you have?

I used Joplin a long time ago and I seem to remember creating notebook structures fairly easily. Now I'm coming back to it and it seems the keyboard shortcuts for creating notebooks only work when a note is being edited. I want to build a structure of notebooks efficiently. Am I missing something? I feel like the notebook title should be edited in the notebook tree and I should be able to hit Tab to create and title another. At least a hotkey for new notebook/subnotebook should work outside of a note. I tried to find a plugin but no luck.

Help?

Thanks!

Hi,

If the hotkey was registered from settings, restarting Joplin might help. To do a full restart, quit Joplin with File > Quit, then re-launch it. After re-launching, the hotkey should be listed in the "File" menu, by "New Notebook":

Thank you for the reply! You were right! The shortcut wasn't there until I quit from File menu. Thanks!
