I’m seeing a prompt constantly saying it’s decrypting the items even though everything is decrypted. This used to be an issue on the mobile a while back where a simple reset of the app would have solved it. Coming to PC, I tried clearing the app data and re-syncing everything with no success. I still hit the same prompt after a clean install. Any suggestion to get rid of that disturbing constant popup on the screen will be of great help.
I had a similar issue on Android, I was able to fix it by looking at the logs, tracking down the resource that was causing the issue, deleting it, then re-attaching it. I’m not sure if this is the same issue that you have.
Thanks for the reply. Looks like that’s the problem according to the log but can you hint me how to find the notes associated to these random characters.

If you copy those random characters and paste them into the search box joplin will be able to find them in a note. first you can remove them from the note they’re in (keep track so you can add them back later).
The in a terminal (or file explorer) navigate to ~/.config/joplin-desktop/resources/ and delete all files with those random characters for names.
After this you can try to sync, make sure the issue is fixed and then re-attach if you want
The last 5000 lines of the log are attached, I don’t know if other parts might be more informative, but the whole thing is too big to upload.log.txt (559.0 KB)
Issue still occurs, removing and adding 20 items isn’t a long-term fix (when it occurs again). If unfixed, could lead to discourage usage of the attachments feature.
Only happens on new clients (had one android and one linux client syncing to nextcloud, now added a second linux client and this is still expiriencing problems after I tried to ‘factory reset’ and re-initializing sync).
