Hello Joplin Team and Community,
We are a group of Software Engineering students from Iowa State University, currently taking a Software Architecture and Design class. As a part of our course, we have adopted your project as our case study to apply the concepts that we have learned.
We chose your project because of the clean and structured codebase that you all have implemented, the frameworks implemented in this project, and the active community that has been built. Through our research so far, we’ve learned that the main goal of Joplin is to provide a secure and simple, yet powerful, note-taking application. We were particularly impressed by the security aspect of Joplin, setting it apart from its cloud based competitors like Notion and Evernote.
As part of this course, we are exploring software architectural concepts and how they apply within your codebase. If we identify any opportunities for improvement in the code or documentation, we will be sure to follow the contribution guide that is laid on the projects GitHub. Please inform us if we should know about anything else.
