Code view gone with upgrade

Just upgraded to:
Joplin 1.0.245 (prod, darwin)
Client ID: 1c5385b733b34fdeb9ad72df40d44da1
Sync Version: 2
Profile Version: 33
Keychain Supported: Yes
Revision: 2aa7eaa (master)

On MacOS Catalina

Very surprised to find that toggling the Code View button does not bring up code view; it switches between an editable WYSIWIG and non-editable WYSIWIG. Please advise how I can restore the code view.

Posts that do not at least state the version number and operating system will not be answered.

I’m not sure if this is related, but I opened an issue (already fixed in an unreleased version) where the button to switch views (split, view, edit) is only visible in WYSIWIG view (when it should be the other way around): https://github.com/laurent22/joplin/issues/3676

If this is the case you are seeing, the button does still work - i.e. in WYSIWIG click the button, then click code view and you should see that the view has changed (it sounds like your code view is stuck in view, not split or edit)

Really weird and unfortunate bug, can you try pressing Ctrl-L when the code view is up? It’s the shortcut to toggle between editor and renderer viewing.

Thanks, Mark–that brought it around.
