My Joplin log file is several times the size of the database. As I mirror my Joplin directory to Google Drive, continually synchronising the log is an issue when I have a slow connection.
Is there a way to limit the size of the log? Or can I just delete it every now and then?
I'm using Joplin 2.11.11 on Windows.
You can safely delete the log on desktop and Android (manually). On iOS you can't.
And if you don't need it at all (no problems you will report here or to the devs, just
disable the logs.
Thanks for the advice. How would I disable the logs?
You can't disable it, but if you set the log file on the disk to "read only", then Joplin won't be able to write anything to it . This is more of a hack than a proper solution, but it does work.
