BUG? RFE? desktop UX: CTRL-w should not close the application

desktop 3.7.16 on Linux …

Maybe this is an RFE and not a bug, but to me it is a bug …

  • CTRL-q will close the application completely.
  • CTRL-w will close any window, whether it is the main application window or an extraneous window.

That is not the pattern with most applications on Linux. CTRL-w should close outlier windows only and reserve CTRL-q for closing the application.

Side note: CTRL-q doesn't give you an Are you sure? dialogue. Something to consider. Or maybe have that settable in the options somewhere.
