What issue do you have?
My windows desktop version of Joplin will no longer display the images of attached files in a note. something changed recently as they used to display. example jpg, pdf, xlsx.
my andoid phone still displays the images in the notes.
it is like all attached files are no longer accessible. I can’t click on the jpg, pdf, xlsx attachments and save to my desktop or hard drive.
any help would be appreciated.

If you click the button to the right on the bell in the top right corner, you can switch between editor / viewer and editor and / viewer only views. Or in settings, note, there is an option to render images in the markdown editor
I tried the settings, note, render images in the markdown editor, not the fix.

Did you try that? Can you send a screenshot what it looks like in the split view?
Split view is the fix.
must have gotten changed by accident as I never change that view
