A junior dev by trade. What areas of Joplin need people to contribute? I see a few areas listed in the FAQ specs.

Generally tackling bugs with high and medium labels is always welcome, while "good first issue" makes a nice introduction to the process.
Gsoc category overall is useful. although it's designed for gsoc projects, it's still gives a good overview of the development process and subsequent expectations
