What issue do you have?

I find it a little bit inconvenient when I want to add a note in a notebook that has a very long name, because the notebook name cannot be displayed completely in the notebook list, even if I have adjusted the sidebar width to the maximum.
I wonder if there is a way to show a tooltip for the notebook name if it is indeed too long to display. This would allow me to quickly locate the desired notebook at a glance.
I have skimmed through the options in Joplin, but there doesn't seem to be anything relevent.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have a look at this topic too:
"[Desktop Feature Request] Wrap long note titles in note list like it is done on Mobile Android - #4 by _vg"

I did some testing today and finally found the cause — it's the outline plugin.
When I toggle the outline on, if the outline is too narrow, the notebook list sidebar can't be adjusted to be any wider. However, as soon as I turn off the outline, the sidebar width can be freely adjusted.
This seems to be a side effect of using the outline. Hopefully, this behavior can be addressed in a future update so that both features can work smoothly together. :folded_hands:
