What issue do you have?

Hello,

I’m using Joplin on an Chromebook tablet, and I hope the Android app can be improved to better utilize the large screen space — similar to the Windows desktop version’s multi-pane layout.

The ideal layout for tablets would be:

[ Menu bar ] | [ Note list ] | [ Note content ]
On the current Android app, even on large tablets, the menu bar is hidden behind a hamburger menu, and the note list is not always visible. This design feels more like a phone UI and wastes valuable screen space, making navigation less efficient.

I would like to request:

A multi-pane layout for tablets with menu bar, note list, and note content displayed side-by-side. The ability to keep the menu bar and note list always visible on larger screens.

Increase the row height of items in the note list, as the current height is too small for comfortable reading and selection on tablets.

This would greatly improve productivity and the overall experience for tablet users.
Thank you for considering this improvement!

This should be in the Features category as it is a feature request, rather than Support.

But nonetheless a multi pane layout for a large screen in landscape is a good suggestion for improvement
