What issue do you have?

Hi,

I'm confused how to load an encrypted database (created in Windows) on Android.

When I start with a fresh Android install, after linking to Joplin Cloud and opening the "Encryption Config" screen, I'm faced with two seemingly conflicting sets of information:

  • Filling the "Master Password" box with the password used in Windows makes the sync info say "Decrypting items: x/y"
  • Returning to Encryption Config, "Status" says "Encryption is: Disabled"

What does this mean?

Is encryption in transit diffrent to encryption in storage?
