2024-04-29 - Problems synchronising with the Android app and the Joplin Cloud

In "Configuration" > "Synchronization" > "Advanced", is "Attachment download behavior" set to "Always"? In "Auto" mode, attachments should only be downloaded when opening a note.

Thanks for the tip, @personalizedrefriger !
I have now changed my configuration from "Automatic" to "Always".
In the side menu at the bottom under "Synchronize" I can now see that many attachments are being downloaded.
Only when this download and the decryption is completely finished does it make sense to take a closer look at the other inconsistencies in my data set.

2024-08-31 - one profile ok on Android 14 - not on Android 12

Forked to 2024-08-31 - one profile ok on Android 14 - not on Android 12

Once again, I had rejoiced too soon when I marked my 2024-07-07 - 19:40 pm fork as ‘solved’. The notes I fixed there are now broken again.

I'm afraid there's no point in documenting the details of my attempt today in a separate post

2024-09-06 - Android - two elements are not decrypted

If anyone has a different opinion, please let me know.

I somehow tried to repair two supposedly downloaded but undecryptable items for Android 14.
However, these elements no longer exist, so they cannot be downloaded.

The following error message is IMHO misleading:

Joplin konnte diese Elemente trotz mehrfacher Versuche nicht entschlĂŒsseln, weil sie wahrscheinlich entweder kaputt oder zu groß sind. Diese Elemente bleiben auf dem Gerat, aber Joplin wird nicht mehr versuchen sie zu entschlĂŒsseln.

At the beginning of my repair attempt today, Android 14 showed 2 elements of this strange kind. After this repair attempt, Android 14 showed 7 such elements.
That's why I'm leaving it alone again for now.

Before today's repair attempt:

After today's repair attempt:

Would it be possible for you to reopen the following topic.
It was automatically closed, but IMHO is still very relevant.

Hi @personalizedrefriger when will the new 3.1 Joplin version for Android be rolled out?
I would like to use it to test the various issues again if I don't get any further guidance on which issues it should or shouldn't solve.

I'm notifying @laurent — the version of Joplin in the Play Store is currently v3.0.8. According to the release cycle, Android v3.1 should be stable as of October 18th.

Note: the Android pre-releases are available on GitHub.

Right, it seems I forgot to deploy to Google Play. In the meantime you can use the APK 3.1.6+ as this is the production-ready release (which I now marked as "latest" on the repo)
