I use "ALL NOTES" frequently sorted by 'Updated Date' to see a quick history of my latest edits. I recently converted several of my notes to 'To Do' and now the "To Do" notes are appearing BEFORE the Notes, even though they were not recently edited, so the recently edited notes are far below in the All Notes sorted list. Is there a way to mitigate this? I'd prefer to not have to switch them back to regular notes just to get the sort working properly and not favoring To Do over Notes.
I frequent that notebook and sort order but don't use to-dos. From my testing, to-dos follow sort order only among themselves and not among all notes. Unless unchecking View > Show Uncompleted to-dos on top works for you (which doesn't work for me and would only be a partial solution if it did), I would recommend sticking to regular notes to get sort working as desired. If you want notes to look like to-dos but with the correct sort order, you could start their title with a checkbox or similar emoji.
