Show number of notes next to each notebook name in left side bar on mobile (Android)

(Feature request)

Basic Desktop feature which Mobile should catch up on.

Why it matters: right now on Android there is not a single quick way to know how many notes a notebook has.

The two impractical current ways are:

  1. counting visually, good luck with hundreds of notes

  2. settings, tools, sync status, takes a long time to reach and then to load completely

Still hoping for this

Isn't this feature fundamental for strictly mobile users?

To anyone interested: in the meantime, the “settings, tools, sync status“ workaround is quite quick actually. I am using it frequently now.

An important caveat that had me puzzled for days: the sync status stats are sometimes incorrect, showing larger number of notes per notebook than expected. Turns out they count notes in the trash as well. Simply empty your trash, problem solved. You can also decrease the default auto trash delay in the general settings from default 90 days down to 3 days for example.

Are there any technical limitations that prevent this feature from being developed for mobile?

Unless there are notes you might want to retrieve from trash…
