I recently connected a device after some months, as a result I have a lot to sync, but it is normal, what I think can be improved is to prioritize new content acquisition (download for new notes or new version of existing notes) over deletion (maintenance operation): when I do such thing, connecting after months, I end up I have to delete tents of thousands notes, and I cannot get new content before it ends, so I pass days just to make it delete everything before I can use my last notes. I think that new content operations should be always prioritized before deletion, a deletion of an old note revision can also wait for a while, a new note maybe not.
