Well, the WYSIWYG editor is a rich text editor, so no markdown here and editor and preview coincide. The way I proposed let you still write in raw markdown but you don’t have to jump from to editor to preview every time.

The topic of this thread is to preserve the cursor position if we switch between modes and if we switch between notes. If there is no mode switch in the future, fine. But switching between notes can always happen and I do it frequently

I'm still facing this issue in the 3.1.4 release. I think this is an UX bug. It's very annoying to have to scroll back to the line I was after switching from the view mode to the editor mode.

Indeed. The cursor position should be saved for every mode and every note as you navigate the application and for when you open and close the application. You should never lose your place. Someone just liked my previous comment. The Resume Note plugin mentioned above has been GREATLY enhanced and you can achieve pretty much precisely now what I wished for. I will add an update to that comment as well.

My real problem with this issue is using the Android version, and it says the Resume Note plugin is incompatible with Android Joplin.
