Your environment is just the same as mine. I need your help by following the below steps and take a screenshot for me:

1. open Joplin
2. go to help > toggle development tools, it will open a dev panel
3. now, create a blank note
4. enter a title
5. enter a line of content
6. highlight one of the words
7. take a look at the top left of dev panel, you would see a button:
8. press that button and move your mouse on the selected text, and that click it.
9. last, take a screenshot of the whole dev panel for me. Just like below:
   
   

After that, you can click the top right close button within the dev panel to quit.

yeah, and I also did a clean install of both Joplin & ReMoods even removing all related folders...pretty frustrated, and no such issue when using the build-in Joplin theme

I'm sorry to hear about that. Actually, I'm still not so sure the exact problem because it seems only happening on your computer, but I can still find out a better way to rewrite some of the styles that might related to the selected text. I guess it might solve the problem for you.

For your case, below two things are important to check:

1. Make sure your userchrome.css without any custom code that might affect the selected text style.
2. Make sure your ReMoods Theme Mode is using under the correct Joplin built-in theme. see here

hmm, understand it's hard to find out and debug too, thanks anyway, will keep posting if I found anything changed

And yeah, I don't have anything added to the userchrome.css and also the theme mode matches the built-in theme according to the installation guideline.

ReMoods Theme v4.0.0 updates 2023-01-29

This major update has rewritten all the codes to make general improvements. If you found that the content of your note doesn't display as usual after updating to ReMoods Theme V4, it might be due to the font settings didn't load the default values, please follow the below steps in case you meet the problem:

1. Open Joplin
2. Navigate to tools > options > ReMoods Theme
3. Please check all the font settings values and ensure they do not go blank or unreasonable.
4. Below are the default settings values for reference, or you can enter any other of your expected values:
   • Base Font > Default
   • Monospace Font > Default
   • Heading Font > Default
   • Base Font Size > 15
   • Monospace Font Size > 14
   • H1 Font Size > 170
   • H2 Font Size > 140
   • H3 Font Size > 130
   • H4 Font Size > 120
   • H5 Font Size > 110
   • H6 Font Size > 100
   • Math Notation Font Size > 0
5. Go to Show advanced Settings
   • Print Base Font > Default
   • Print Monospace Font > Default
   • Print Heading Font > Default
   • Print Base Font Size > 13
   • Print Monospace Font Size > 12
   • Print H1 Font Size > 180
   • Print H2 Font Size > 160
   • Print H3 Font Size > 140
   • Print H4 Font Size > 130
   • Print H5 Font Size > 120
   • Print H6 Font Size > 110
6. Quit and restart Joplin.

I am still testing, but it wanted to report that I am unable to enable the ‘Note List Panel - Enable auto-scroll effect for note list item.’ The tick button is checked however the note name does not auto-scroll as I would expect. Am I misunderstanding what is supposed to happen?

I am on Joplin v2.9.17

I just checked it, and thx, I did make some mistakes, and I found the Print link href doesn't work too. They will be fixed in the next few days.

One more thing I just noticed, it seems that highlighting a word does not work. Using either the keyboard or cursor I cannot seem to highlight a word or sentence. This is occurring only in code blocks. Let me know if I can provide any further info around this to help.

ReMoods Theme v4.1.1 updates 2023-02-10

To Chinese Language Users:

To improve the combination of Chinese & English note-taking experience, this update added a new member "GenSenRounded TW"(源樣圓體) as the default Chinese font. When compared with the "Chiron Hei HK", it appears more clearly in terms of the font strokes, especially in Traditional Chinese.

The "Chiron Hei HK" is already removed from the recommended font list, if you are enjoy using it you don't have to make any changes. But one exception, if you have installed both "Chiron Hei HK" & "GenSenRounded TW" on your computer, ReMoods will always use the "GenSenRounded TW" as a priority.
