Hi all,
I love using Joplin, but navigating nested notebooks is frustrating. When a notebook contains sub-notebooks, clicking it shows only its individual notes, while sub-notebooks remain hidden. This forces users to switch to the sidebar tree for access to subnotebooks, which is extremely inconvenient on mobile (so many extra taps).
I propose:
-
Displaying clickable sub-notebooks alongside the list of notes when opening a parent notebook.
-
Adding a "back" or "parent" item on the top of the list, for smoother navigation through the notebook hierarchy without having to switch back to the sidebar.
This change would reduce unnecessary taps in mobile and make user experience much snappier... And familiar: as it would match folder and file navigation in all operating systems.
Thanks for considering this improvement!
