Additional Customization options for the Note List Preview
Context
-
In the current Note List Preview (NLP), note titles are limited to a single line.
-
The title is the primary identifier of a note and often captures its core meaning. When the full title is not visible, navigating the note list becomes unnecessarily difficult, frequently requiring users to open each note just to understand its content.
-
When multiple versions of a note exist - often created by duplicating a note - long titles are truncated instead of wrapping onto additional lines. This makes it difficult to distinguish the original note from its duplicates, especially since the title field itself also truncates long titles.
-
Being able to view the complete title is therefore essential for efficient navigation and accurate identification, particularly when several notes have similar names.
Proposal
-
Introduce additional customization options for the Note List Preview, with the primary goal of allowing users to view the full title of each note.
-
At the same time, offer flexible configuration options so users can tailor the Note List Preview to their preferred layout. These options could include:
-
How the title is displayed: full title or a specified number of title lines
-
How many lines of the excerpt text are shown
-
The font size of both the title and the excerpt
-
