I couldn’t find an easy way to quickly create a note in a default folder.
I’m often wanting to add a note when i’m working during the day, and I’m often not sure what folder I’d even want it in, so I don’t want to waste the time trying to figure out what folder it should go in before I start working on the note, and it seemed wasteful to have to first click a default folder before I start the note, so, to me, a quick short cut to start a note in a default folder was very helpful.
Note, I don’t know TypeScript (I’m a Java/ Go guy) so I just had Claude come up with it, but it’s pretty simple and seems to work well.
That’s a good idea, I just modified it to behave that way. Makes more sense. (Should show up soon)
Yea, on mobile this feature is even more critical, but I ‘think’ that would take a change to the actual mobile code base. Others have asked for that feature as well on mobile, and to me, it’s critical there. (In fact, because it’s ‘not there’ I end up not using joplin on my mobile to take quick notes, which is a shame .)
