Move from OneNote to Joplin any Updates

HI Guys
I was an initial Evernote user until they went anti customer.
So i moved to Onenote and to be honest it is very good.
But over the past 12 months looking at options to self host and move my data from Google & Microsoft.
I have read about moving from Onenote to Evernote then to Joplin but not sure with over 12000 notes if i would have to pay for that much data. Also from my initial move from Evernote to Onenote it wasn't good.

I also read about a tool on github but its from 2021 i think and i see no more updated info for 2022. As Joplin has matured over the years will this still work or are there better tools i have not seen!

Is anybody aware if there is a best / recommended way to get from Onenote to Joplin?

Looking at OneNote export to Joplin - #16 by globetrotsky, I see that the latest release was in Oct 2022. (I haven't used it, though!).
