What issue do you have?
Hi,
I have Joplin with OneDrive synchronization.
OneDrive folder size is around 1 GB and more than 18000 files.
I have successful synchronization from linux and android.
When setting up windows client, I just can't finish the synchronization.
(I was trying almost whole summer to let it synchronize)
What are my options ?
Is there an option to copy files from linux to windows and then do some additional steps ?
I'm wondering can i go with JEX Export / Import ?
Export from Linux to JEX
Import on Windows from JEX
After Import setup one drive synchronization.
Does Joplin recognize, that all notes are actually already in One Drive ?
Thanks.
A.

Don't do the jex import on a new device, you'll end up with duplicate notes (jex imports them with new IDs)
Copying the profile directory (.config folder) should work

@bwat47 : Thanks for the anwser.
Just to be sure. Do you mean whole folder which is in the .config ?
The joplin-desktop folder ?
hopp@midgaard:~/.config/joplin-desktop$ ls -1
cache
database.sqlite
ipc_secret_key.txt
JoplinBackup
log-cross-app-ipc.txt
log.txt
resources
settings.json
tmp
window-state-prod.json
Wouldn’t there be a problem with some client id or something ?
That joplin on Windows machine will have same id as joplin on linux machine ?
Thanks,
A.

Yes, whole joplin-desktop folder. Config files are in json format, so you can easily verify, that there is no client ID. The only ID I’ve found there is profile ID, but it’s relevant only when you’ve multiple profiles set up.

Thank you very much for the tips.
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to try them.
As usual, I tried for the last time to sync notes via standard way.
Probably Joplin got scared, that I’m reporting it, so it finally worked.
