Ditto on hoping for an iPad app that looks more like the desktop version, with multiple panels. The single panel iPad app is crippling.
Very confused by to-day's progress on this so long effort. Having both iPad and Android tablet, I can't help but admit that the dual-pane mode is something Joplin is sorely lacking. Let me just refresh the thread with a couple of not-so-needed proposals on the tablet UI layout:
- Option 1: Note list is always visible. In landscape view, the screen is split between Note list and Editor in 1-to-3 ratio. Sliding Sidebar operates as usual.
- Option 2: No sliding Sidebar in landscape view. In the landscape view, the left quarter of the screen switches between Note list and Notebooks.
I'm hard to tell which option is preferable, but either one would be better than the current absurdly large full-screen Editor with the annoying requirement to switch to the Note list back and forth.
But anyway, you already know all that....
