You can read up on how search works in Joplin here Searching | Joplin
If the english words are between chinese characters without spaces, I think you should be able to search those terms using the ‘basic search’. Just put a forward slash (/) in front of the search term.
In terms of the mobile app, it gets a new stable release every 3 months, the same as the desktop app.
You can combine words together for basic search by using double quotes, eg.
/”amazon computer”
I admit I did not discover this feature immediately when I started using Joplin initially, but I am thankful the feature is available, even if not intuitive.
Joplin is not the only note taking app which has behaviour similar to the default search behaviour. For example, when I used to use Evernote, the behaviour was the same (for searching English sentances). For example if I search for ‘no’, it would not match the word ‘know’, because the search term is missing both the first letter ‘k’ and the last letter ‘w’ of a word, where a word is a string of characters without any spaces between them
It is possible to do what you want, but the syntax is not pretty:
/any:computer amazon
Or
/any:"computer" "amazon"
Will match the following text:
Hamazons tcomputers
Hmm, yes you are right, that does not work properly. I edited my answer because I thought those commands did the same as what I originally wrote, but it seems not to be the case.
Instead you have to specify specifically which part of the note data to search. If you only need to search within the note body you can use either of thoese commands (quotes only required if you want to join multiple words together within one token):
/body:computer amazon
Or
/body:"computer" "amazon"
