What issue do you have?
Hi, I'd hope someone could help,
- Why does the app not remember the last screen position when restarting?
- How to convert all enter keys to act like shift-enter?
- How can I make a key that takes me back to my home folder? Now I have to hit F10 and use the mouse to choose the default folder.
- The other issue is that I created a small new note in Joplin's main folder, and it still hasn't synced.
Thank you.
From what I have seen, when Joplin is fully quit (File > Quit) the app window size and position are written to .config/joplin-desktop/window-state-prod.json. The next time Joplin is opened it will be in the same position as when closed. However if Joplin is running as the system is shut down this file does not get updated. So when Joplin is next opened it will reopen in the position stored in the window-state-prod.json file when it was last properly quit .
You omitted to include your editor info in the support post but I assume you are referring to the rich-text editor. This has been discussed quite a bit on this forum. Rather than repeat this again why not try searching for previous posts to see what options were suggested.
Joplin does not designate any folder as "home" or "default". You could have a look through the Joplin plugins to see if there is something that someone else in your situation has devised. From a very brief search "Home Note" looks quite close.
If this is a sync issue you did not complete the relevant sections of the support request or include any information to begin to try to help with this question. However you do refer to Joplin's "main folder". Joplin clients do not have a "main folder". If you have added a file to the "main" data folder on the server used for syncing between clients then it will never sync because Joplin does not work this way.
