Joplin.exe process running after program exit

Been using Joplin for several weeks now and I like how it works. I am currently using the desktop windows version 1.0.101. After exiting the desktop application, I’ve noticed up to four separate Joplin.exe processes remain within taskmanager each with a different PID. Further, the status of these process will list one as “running” and the remaining ones as “unknown”.

Does the Joplin app spawn other processes? Are these supposed to be persistent?

Thanks
PJ

Isn’t the application still running in the system tray?

As it turns out, it was running in the system tray. Somehow I managed to hide the icon so couldn’t see it although I don’t think I knew the app minimized to the system tray. Thanks for clearing that up.

Great app by the way!

This issue is reproducible for me even though I closed the app even in the system tray.
The 4 processes are in separate group from main ones while Joplin is running.
4 processes remain while main processes are gone on system tray "Quit" action.

They constantly consume on average the same amount of CPU and perform disk operations from time to time, no network activity was noticed.

I don't see these pop up after killing them manually.
