This may be related to Joplin's "auto-update" setting. If so, doing either of the following should fix the issue:
- Upgrade to Joplin 3.5.11 from https://joplinapp.org/.
- If it's enabled, disable the auto-update setting (settings > general > advanced > auto-updates, default state: disabled).
