Hi is anyone else seeing the error message "Error: Not implemented: httpAgent".
Everything synced as normal until I just updated Android Joplin app to 3.1.1. The desktop (portable v3.0.13) is syncing normally. Nextcloud service is working normally.
Looking at the log in Android app I can see it was synced perfectly until I opened the app after installing the update.
Tried with/without VPN, WiFi/mobile data but see the same error each time.
tl;dr
when will be the fixed android version released?? doesn't matter where, I just want to be productive
hi, I have the same problem since I update the f-droid App.
I'm a little bit ... shocked? How is this possible, that an app-version can be released which instantly drops an error, literally at the first opening after updating within unter one minute ...? this feels like .. it hasn't been even tested
As I can see, the github issue is marked as fixed ... cool.
And now ..? I know, it is my mistake to update that quick, as the provided apk Version at the joplin download page ist 3.0.7 and playstore seems to have 3.0.8 which all are working fine, but downgrading isn't possible with the .apk and after using the app for over a year and trusting, I didn't noticed that fast that sync isn't working and now ... Im sure that I am not the only one who literally can not manage many tasks and notes with other clients.
Edit: Be aware that v3.1.2 is a pre-release — the latest stable version of Joplin for Android should be a 3.0.x release (see the release calendar). F-Droid seems to be publishing pre-release versions of Joplin. Edit 3: Removed inaccurate information -- the latest Android version is v3.0.9 and not v3.0.7. GitHub issue.
unfortunately it looks like you can't simply update an app that was installed with fdroid using an apk file. so some of us will have to wait ... or export data of the app, uninstall and reinstall as apk/older f-droid version, and re-import the backup and then start syncing, but Im afraid that there will be maybe other issues. anyway, thanks!
Just for the record, I've created an issue on the F-Droid tracker about this:
Edit:
The answer from F-Droid is basically that Joplin needs to name its tags accordingly to whether it's a stable release or a pre-release (e.g. 3.1.2-beta). Otherwise they have no way to distinguish between the two.
