What issue do you have?
Although my Ubuntu 24.04 is set to use Firefox as the default browser, when opening a link within Joplin, it uses Brave instead. Is there any setting I need to modify?
From what I've researched, it seems that Joplin cannot execute correctly due to an issue with the chrome-sandbox permission restrictions. When it opens, it lacks the necessary permissions for chrome-sandbox to run properly (this appears to be a common problem with Electron applications run from AppImage), which may lead Joplin to bypass the default browser setting and open another installed browser instead.
I have found mentions of different issues related to this AppImage/Electron restriction in the blog in the past, but I have been unable to resolve this particular problem of using Firefox within Joplin. Can anyone help me if they have found/fixed the same problem?
