Hello folks!

I am Alok Kumar Dalei from India ,pursuing my Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering (AI).I have been coding for about 6 months and gained skills in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, ReactJS ,JAVA and Python and build some fun projects to assess my skills.

Alongside I am also gearing up skills in Typescript and Golang .I am highly interested in contributing in Joplin.I have already set up Joplin project in my local and currently going through some of project ideas proposed by Joplin and trying to get comfortable with the codebase.I will start my contribution with small issues and raising PRs for the same to get some insight about the codebase .

But before start contributing I know want to about how to add test units in a PR.I would really appreciate if maintainers/mentors could help me with this.

Hi!

For writing tests in general, I would suggest:

• Reviewing the "Automated tests" section of the contributing guidelines.
• Referencing the Jest testing framework's documentation.
• For the mobile app, referencing React Native Testing Library's documentation.
• Looking at existing tests (look for .test.ts and .test.tsx files).
