Hello Everyone!
My name is Tanay Gada, and I'm very much excited to contribute to Joplin for GSoC 26
Background
I am a final year Computer Science Engineering Student at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute(VJTI), Mumbai , India. I have worked at JPMorganChase as summer intern where I shipped React, Java Springboot code to production with a focus on reliability, scalability and security.
I am a person who loves problem solving and practice Competitve Programming (Codeforces Specialist, Codechef 3*) which help approach problems with structured thinking.
My technical experience includes:
- Javascript, Typescript, Python, Java
- React, NextJS, Redux, NodeJS
- AI systems, including building RAG pipelines using LLMs (LangChain, LangGraph)
- Production level code focusing on reliability, scalability and security
- Databases(MongoDB, PostgreSQL) and Backend Services
- Containerised Development (Docker, Kubernetes)
Interest in Joplin
I rely heavily on structured note-taking and personally relate to challenges such as inefficient search in large note collections and difficulty understanding relationships between notes, and interacting with them.
Among the AI-focused GSoC ideas, I am most interested in:
- AI-supported search for notes
- AI-generated note graphs
- Chat with your note collection using AI
I am also open to contributing to other projects if the community sees stronger alignment there.
From my perspective, semantic retrieval and structured knowledge discovery within personal notes are highly impactful problems and would love to solve them.
I am looking forward to connecting and engaging with the community and become an impactful part of Joplin.
Thank-You!
Tanay Gada
