Hello everyone,
I’m Khushal Khandelwal, a passionate software developer, and I’m excited to begin my open source journey with GSoC 2026 by contributing to Joplin.
I’m a CSE’25 graduate with experience in JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem, primarily working with React.js, Next.js, and Node.js. I’ve also built AI applications using AI SDK and Openrouter.
I’m particularly interested in contributing to the following ideas:
- Password strength indicator
- Support for encrypted notes
- AI-based categorisation
- Chat with your note collection using AI
- Automatically label images using AI
These ideas genuinely excite me, and they align closely with what I love building. I’ve already set up Joplin and started exploring the ideas and their possible implementations.
I’m really looking forward to contributing and becoming a part of this amazing developer community.
