With git clone https://gitlab.com/myproject.wiki I can export all the wiki pages of a project in md format.
Is there a way to upload those to Joplin including the embedded images in the md files ?

You could import those files with: File -> Import -> MD - Markdown (Directory). Worked for me, but I don't use Images at the moment.
Tried this although images are not imported. Maybe the other way around would be a better option, i.e. push from Joplin to a remote gitlab repository ?
Or copy the note into a .git directory so that it will be update the remote on the next git push ?
