On first glance, one seems like a single blog post view, one like an overview.
As I think the question is geared towards "auto-export from Joplin", my vote goes to the NexT-theme; mainly because it does not use thumbnail images (and I don't use images in Joplin). In there, I'd prefer to have the sidebar enabled.
