When I try to sync joplin with synology WebDAV (http://ip:5005/joplin/ ) I get the following error in Joplin 1.0.201 (Linux):
PROPFIND : Unknown error 2 (401): 401 Authorization Required
Authorization Required This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn’t understand how to supply the credentials required.
(Code 401)
I'm guessing that because you are specifying port 5005 you are using a Synology NAS?
I do not use Synology WebDav but others do and is there anything in this previous post / thread that helps you?
So just to recap, and anyone can correct me if I’m wrong; to get WebDAV synchronisation working on a synology NAS:
1-Create a Joplin shared folder at the highest level in File Station.
2-Download WebDAV server from the Package Center.
3-Enable HTTP/HTTPS.
4-Under External Access in Control Panel, select Add under DDNS to create a registered hostname.
5-Under Router Configuration, select Create to add port forwarding rules for the ports used in the WebDAV server application (the default 5005…
But if I use the ip in webDAV is it necessary to create a registered hostname?
