Hi
When switching from view mode to edit mode on Android, the note always begins from the start. And, in markdown mode, the links generated by my [toc] (table of contents) are not active, of course. So I have to manually scroll down and look for the place I identified in view mode so that I can edit it. It can be veeeery tedious in a long note.
I read some older topics and understood there is a function so that edit starts not on the beginning of the note but on the line which was last displayed - a feature which is active on Joplin for PC ! But I could not find that feature (I guessed in Parameters/Editing - I have the french app)
Thanks for your help about that
Cheers
Damien
You can do Configuration > Editor > Default view / edit state - change that to edit mode. Then it will always open a note in edit mode and remember the last position where you placed the cursor. However your toc wont work in edit mode unfortunately, but you could consider using the outline plugin instead
Thanks for the proposal to "work around". This helps however I have been struggling with the same "feature" of Joplin. It would be grand that we could switch from editing to view and back to editing keeping the same point.
Also thanks for mentioning the outline plugin(s). None of those available for Android work in edit mode. Is there a good reason for this? Or is there a trick to make them jump to the right section?
