How to create a sub-list in Joplin

I have tried creating a sub-list following the guideline provided here but the information provided does not work. I just need to know how we can create a sub-list under an item in a bulleted list. Thanks.

I have followd the same format as the one provided in the link. For example, the following does not work:

  1. First ordered list item
  2. Another item
    ⋅⋅* Unordered sub-list.

Unfortunately it seems the examples for lists are not correct on this page as they’ve replaced the spaces with dots.

The correct syntax would be:

1. First item
2. Second item
    * Sub item 1
    * Sub item 2

which renders to:

  1. First item
  2. Second item
    • Sub item 1
    • Sub item 2
