How do i login to app.joplincloud.com

Operating system

Windows

Joplin version

2.13.2

What issue do you have?

I was required to put in a Joplin version to post but there is no Joplin version because I'm logging into the web so disregard that.

I just a couple of months ago subscribed to Joplin cloud and I'm synchronizing my windows and Linux clients with Joplin Cloud as the synchronization Target but I want to be able to be anywhere and access my notes all of the notebooks even if I can't edit them I want to view them but when I go to app.joplincloud.com it doesn't present an authentication box it just shows what looks like a blank default profile with a few notes in it.

Is it possible for me to be on a different computer from the one that I normally use that does not have Joplin on it and be able to just log into a web browser and use my Joplin cloud account without setting up synchronization which seems to be the only way I've been able to get it to work but I don't want to sink all my notebooks to every computer that I visit.

I figured that website would prompt me for my login credentials but it doesn't.
Only if I set up synchronization as Joplin Cloud does it ask for my credentials and authenticate that session and that's not what I want.

I'm moving to Joplin from Evernote and Evernote has a web login interface and I figured that Joplin Cloud would provide me the same type of experience. Am I correct or does this not work the way I intend it to be working.

Go to hamburger menu > configuration > sync > select Joplin Cloud and input your credentials.

Does it work?

Keep in mind the web UI is in beta. Backup your data frequently (JEX export)! Make sure the daily builtin backup works on your Desktop app.

Hi,

Yes. I got it to work when I logged in through synchronizing via Joplin cloud but it's been quite a bit of time synchronizing documents down to the PC that I didn't want it synced down to I just wanted to view notebooks online. I had to wait a long time for the notes to sync.

I still have my Evernote account for example while I transition to Joplin and if I go to their website and login I see an exact replica of the app that I would see on my phone or on my computer and I can get to all my notes cuz they're all stored in the cloud.

I'm guessing that this login system doesn't support that same type of environment.

So my conclusion is true. There is no way to access your cloud account without setting up Joplin Cloud sink in the browser.

Now I can still use my Evernote until the subscription runs out in a few months.

For now if I have a specific note that I want available to me at any time I have an online note taking app where everything is stored on the server. It also supports voice dictation which is nice.

Is it possible for me to say publish all notes that have a certain tag name in them?

I got some more things I'm going to try.

I'll put up another update later on when I time to do some additional testing.

I have to use other note-taking apps on Android because the Joplin Android app can't publish notes yet.

Thanks.
