I want to define my syntax in Joplin. For example, when I type $Alex$ I want to write Alex in blue and bold. or when I type @Alexm @ I want to write Alexm@gmail.com .

It is possible to add a shortcut abbreviation template support (snippet) in Joplin? Something like instead of typing “[image]” to press just the “![” and Joplin to complete all the extra characters by itself? SublimeText have a feature similar like this, where you can define your own shortcut templates with placeholders. Like this Lorem Ipsum Shortcut in Sublime Text . Just type “lorem” and “tab” key in SublimeText and BOOM! You have all the Lorem Impsum text straight there!

Thanks, it seems good. and what about styles? can we add CSS styles when defining a snippet or variable? for example, I want to use && for the color blue.
If you need an advanced formatting you can use html tags. For its easier input you can use this plugin

Since I am a bit lazy at writing html tags manually, I've decided to add a bit of a shortcut to it for myself, hopefully to make it more efficient, because I work with a lot of my own custom tags.
