Feat: Publish a whole notebook, not just individual notes, so that links between notes work

Publish/share a whole notebook (on Joplin Cloud and Joplin Server), not just individual notes (already possible), so that internal links between notes still work when someone (not a Joplin user) visits the (read only) public shared url of any of those notes (currently those links are broken).

Proof this is a pain point not just for me:

Proof this feature has been wanted for quite some time:

Bonus feature: the (read only) public page of any of the notes could have a collapsible left panel/sidebar showing the clickable list of all notes of the published notebook for even easier navigation.

This is not a feature yet? I was just testing note publishing and the page looked as if the left pane was to belong there in case of a notebook being published.

Something to look into for sure. Maybe GSoC could cover that too?

Take it few steps further into a wiki like site setup…

MAJOR UPDATE: This is mostly solved by the latest Joplin Server 3.6.1 (Fixed: Redirect to correct share when following links between independently published notes (#14963) (#583 by @Rygaa)).

I just tested with an internal link between two published notes A and B, the internal link now finally works as expected when browsing the published version of note A.

Kudos to the devs  @mrjo118 @personalizedrefriger @laurent

This is good news for @h3193 @compgeniuses too (their old threads are closed so I cannot post there).

This is not yet the full notebook publishing feature, but at least now you can publish several notes and the links between them will work. :white_check_mark:

That's really good news. This feature is perfectly sufficient for my needs; I don't want to release an entire notebook

When will the update be available in joplincloud?

Regards, Helge

It already works on Joplin Cloud, I just tested it.
