Hello! No reply? I'm desperate I do not understand where the problem is. I had to use Google Keep again because I no longer have sync with my phone and edit note in the phone is not intuitive. I think the problem is related to Dropbox but I don't know where to look. Can you help me please?
Error 409 means there's a conflict somewhere on your Dropbox files. So maybe you need to view the files using the Dropbox client and fix any conflict.
Hello Laurent. Thank you. I will try asap.
No success. I don't find the conflict(s) file(s). Where should I find them? In Joplin configuration files? Or in my local Dropbox' folder? Or in Dropbox site? How to uninstall this version of Joplin (Appimage?) to reinstall later?
Is there more information in the log about this error? As it is, it's not possible to know much.
Hello, Laurent. Not exactly resolved because I don't know why, but it works! I can't read the log as it is now in the trash where files are locked (no access).
- I had made a backup on Thursday
- I deleted all Joplin's data in my computer, in Dropbox folder and online too
- Check that there is no error again at this stage.
- Importing folders from the backup. No error with sync.
I wish you a good weekend
Hello!
I'm having sync problems again:
Following the previous problem, the app displayed folders and notes twice. I wanted to delete them all. I thought I turned off sync from my phone but it kept restarting while deleting folders or notes. Result: all my data in Jospin-Desktop has been emptied! So I would like to know how to reliably deactivate the synchronization (desktop and Android version) without it restarting alone.
Fortunately, I had made a backup on Sunday. So I was able to restore my data but in a folder / notebook named "240920" to avoid any problem.
How to import backup (MD) in Android version?
Finally, I uninstalled the Android version and then reinstalled it. Sync seems to be working but I can't find any folder ("carnet") or notes.
Later... Oops! All carnets & notes are here again...
I've been having the same sync error since a couple of weeks ago. This happened on both my mobile and the PC. Here's the error log

Seems like Joplin is trying to query a path that no longer exists on Dropbox. However, from the error log I can't see what is the actual path that Joplin is querying that is missing.
I got this on a different Joplin version v1.1.4 though.
I have this error now (both on my computer and on the Android client) :
Completed: 05/07/2021 10:40 (23s)
Last error: Error: POST files/list_folder: Error (409): {"error_summary": "path/not_found/.", "error": {".tag": "path", "path": {".tag": "not_found"}}}
One problem with this message is that it doesn't specify which path it tries to access… That would help fixing it.
My synchronization mode is "Dropbox".
This might be related to the fact I excluded some folders from sync, as explained in Joplin, I love you... but this is driving me nuts (Dropbox) - #3 by Sophia and following. I might have excluded one too much folder…
Apparently, I have to find out on which computer I excluded the folders, because Dropbox won't show them anymore…
Update: I have excluded, some time ago, the synchronization of .lock, .sync, locks and temp in Dropbox/Applications/Joplin. (With the Dropbox application itself, not possible on the Web, AFAIK.)
I restored .lock and .sync, but I still had the same error.
I restored the two others, and synchronization went without error.
I fear the advice given above is no longer valid, and we have to live with permanent creation and deletion of files there.
I disabled the notifications of Dropbox to avoid seeing them all the time.
