Hi
Is there a way to display the notebook name?
When I am reading a note all I get is the note title at thee top of the editor. It would be useful to also know at a glance which notebook it belongs to.
Am I missing a setting for this?
Thanks
Currently I only know that the notebook is displayed in the search and in the all notes, or you have to know in which one you are.
There is a ongoing pullrequest to display notebook and title in the title bar.

You may like the notetabs plugin
Here's my first plugin I wrote. It shall allow you to "open" multiple notes at a time in tabs.
You can install it via the Joplin plugin system. Please see here for details.
I hope it will help you to improve your daily work with Joplin.
Features
Display selected note as tab
Additional display options below the tabs
Navigation buttons ( historyBackward/Forward )
Completion status of all checklists in selected note
Full breadcrumbs for selected note
Pin note(s) to the tabs

It allows you to have a breadcrumb that will tell you exactly what folder you are looking at:
The bit in the circle is the lowest level folder.
Thanks for the helpful reply
Thanks - I'll give that a whirl ...
