Disable markdown "pre-" rendering?

Upgraded from v ~1.0.xy

I just upgraded from version 1.0.something to 1.7.11 on Windows 10. The new markdown editor seems to "pre-" render some elements on the markdown side itself, not the preview (e.g. making text size bigger/smaller with headings marked by # ). Can this be disabled somehow? I can't find the setting.

It's not a setting but you can use custom css to change the look of these items.
