I have a lot of digital books. I can’t keep track of them to read them. I wrote a solution that I thought you might like.

  1. automatically stores epubs/pdf in Dewey Decimal System directories
  2. catalogs your books
  3. command line tool to open the books, either in Books or Skim.
  4. Upon closing the book, it scrapes any notes or highlights and intelligently updates a Joplin note about the book. This uses the Web Clipper in Joplin.
  5. has an AI integration (currently with gemini) to ask about content on the page. This only works with the Skim pdf reader.
