What issue do you have?

I have tried installing themes via the Plugins interface, and I also installed the Editor Themes plugin. I do not have "Automatically switch theme to match system theme" checked. However I cannot get my theme to change to any custom theme, and they do not appear in the Appearance -> Theme dropdown menu. If I choose a theme in Editor Themes and restart the app, nothing changes. What might cause this to happen?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

The problem still exists with preview version 3.3.2. Any ideas why this might happen? I'd really like to be able to change the theme!

The Editor Themes plugin may only work in Joplin's Markdown editor.

In its README, the plugin states that it's based on "react-codemirror". Only Joplin's Markdown editor is based on the CodeMirror library. The Rich Text Editor is based on TinyMCE, which has a different styling system.

OK! That's very helpful info.

I'm actually looking for a "theme" that will allow me to style the entire app (mostly the colors and fonts used throughout). I can choose themes to do this in Appearance -> Themes, so it seems as if it can be done without risking breaking things on update. Is there a repository somewhere where people have collected such themes? Or a recommended way to edit the existing ones?

The theme options that come bundled with Joplin are a bit difficult to read for me, and ideally I would like one that is similar to what I use in Sublime.
