Count chars and words when selecting text

Hello everyone,

I have some ideas to start contributing to Joplin and i can develop them just want to make sure they are good improvements before jumping into code.

Feature Request word count

I have seen this topic but in my opinion i think joplin should tell how much selected chars/words are in selected text. And the last icon in markdown only counts for all the note and not just for selected text

Nice work. My wish would be to have that wordcount optional (right Mouseclick, Optional Checkbox in Joplin Options area, etc.) so that in the Mainwork its not disturbing. Other then that it would be good for statistical purposes like Journalist work to have the following:

  • words in total for a specific note
  • Characters with and without spaces
  • Lines
