What issue do you have?

I really appreciate the opportunity to publish texts. I have been working on one text for a long time, which I made available to several people via the published URL in order to subject the text to a critical revision.

Unfortunately, I have experienced several times that this URL does not display edits. A closer look revealed that the revised text had been published under a new URL without any action on my part.

This is of course annoying. Firstly, I would have liked to have been informed of this change, and secondly, I had to inform my fellow readers of the new URL.

So I ask: Under what circumstances is a new URL automatically assigned? Is that even necessary?
