Currently I have the following setup:

Joplin's data running in a synced folder (between my computer and Mega's cloud)

Frequent and automated backups (via rsync and cronjobs) of the folder ~/.config/joplin-desktop/

Automatic daily backups via Simple Backup plugin
I think I am covered for now.
