I used to to use Evernote and I still miss the way I could write notes in the desktop. In Evernote I could use markdown tags and after giving a space the formatting was implemented and the markdown tag would desappear. Is it possible for this feature to be implemented In Joplin? I think the feature name is auto-formating.
The rich markdown plugin is probably your best bet here.
