The app continuously syncs something.
Everything seems to have been synched already.
I turned sync off in settings, it still continues syncing.
Also, can somebody explain what these counters mean
For example, 6221/6250 suggests to me 'out of',
ie once it reaches 6250 it will stop.
But no, it reaches 6250, and thena new set of numbers appears, X/Y
And it just stays in this loop for the entire day
The /6250 is not the overall total. The sync only fetches 50 items at a time, so the /6250 increases by 50 when the current batch of 50 items has completed downloading. Please note the total synced objects is not relative to the total number of notes, but it includes resources and tags and other things. If you have a lot of tags and usages if tags, the number of objects to sync can increase significantly, because it will not just sync 1 object per tag, but 1 object per usage of tag. So 5 tags used in 100 notes each would mean over 500 objects to sync for the tags alone.
As long as the number of objects continually increases as it syncs, then this is working as deisgned and you just need to continue waiting. On mobile you also need to keep the screen on when syncing, as the app cannot sync in the background.
The is also a 'sync status' option in the menu on desktop and mobile clients, so you can check how many items in total are expected to be synced, on the existing client which has been synced in full.
Thank you for your response, appreciate the details! Suggest the counters be made more intuitive to the uninitiated user, if possible, especially X/Y.
